The Corruptor wants to assist you in gaining strength so you can better survive and then send you on to train a skill.
'To strengthen your resolve, body, and abilities, you must earn skills and corruptions. In order to unlock the power of the corruptions and skills, you must speak with corruptors who will help you to unlock the deeper potency. As you grow in strength, so too will your access to greater and more malevolent corruptions.
'When you are prepared, speak with Lingemil. They will teach you more of your abilities, here in the Ettenmoors.'
Some NPCs in the game world have several available roles. They can bestow quests, open shops, give hints, train skills, and any number of other interactions. When you speak with an NPC that has these additional roles, you will need to select the role you want to use from the context menu that opens when you speak with the NPC.

Optional:Speak with the trainer again if you wish to purchase additional skills and traits.
