Foresters collect wood from fallen branches. They are also adept at treating the wood for use; but this is not the end of a Forester's knowledge, for they also cure hides from the beasts found throughout the wild. These learned skills provide woodworkers and tailors with the materials necessary to ply their own crafts. This gathering profession is much-needed and often profitable in Middle-earth.
