Flying High

Kites can be flown at the Summer Festival from various locations in Hobbiton.

'My favourite addition to the festival this year is certainly the lovely summer-themed kites! When I fly them, I picture that I'm up there myself, like a bird. But then I get frightened of the idea of being so high up, and pull them back down. Never can be too careful!

Kite-flying locations can be found throughout Hobbiton encircling the Party Tree. They are atop the Hill, near the Appledores, on the river-front south of the Grange, on the hill with a camp-fire to the east of the Party Tree, and in the meadow to the east of Bag End.

You should fly each of the summer-themed kites and enjoy the summer breezes.
