'I have been reading reports from those venturing within the Paths of the Dead. When an Oathbreaker is quieted, something odd seems to happen. The ground turns black and foul, any plants around are killed, and waters are tainted. As we try to quiet the Ruthless Dead, we may end up destroying the Morthond in the process.

'After you have quieted one of the Ruthless Dead within Kêr Bras, apply this lacquer to the area they fell. It should counteract the taint. The Paths of the Dead are far to the north of here.'

Avordur is in Dol Amroth, far to the south of the Paths of the Dead.
