Firthwyn, trained in arms, wishes to amass a small store of weapons and supplies so that the women can survive in the cave until the baby and Ránmald are ready to travel.

'I've been unkind to Ránmald for foolish reasons; I see it now. But we shan't let her be alone now, with her family gone and a little one on the way.

'If ye fix me up with some weapons and basic supplies, I'll teach these others to fight, and we'll defend this cave to the very last. I hope the weapons aren't needed, but...I should like to have 'em, just the same.

'Go to the outskirts of Byre Tor and see what ye can scrounge up. Try not to let any Orcs see yeh -- we don't want them following ye back here.'

Weapons and supplies can be found on the outskirts of Byre Tor.

You should collect weapons and supplies from Byre Tor without drawing attention from the Orcs, who might follow you back to the refugees' cave and endanger the women.

NOTE: Drawing too much attention from the Orcs will fail this quest.
