The miner Inir has been rescued from the clutches of the bugan in the Barnavon Mine.

Description
Stage 1

'${PLAYER}, you have done well by rescuing Inir from the mine and have proven yourself a friend. Will you, then, as a friend grant me a favour?

'Go to Barnavon-town and tell Gwilum that he still lives and is being cared for here. He will return when he is well enough to travel or when we can spare someone to escort him.'

Gwilum is outside the gate to Barnavon-town, far to the west of the Barnavon Mine.
