The Elf-prince Legolas is worried about the harsh words he shared with some of the Elves of Rivendell following the Council of Elrond and is hopeful that he has not upset any of his fellows.
'You have the ear of Elrond, ${PLAYER}, and his trust, and that means you will have mine as well; the animosity between our peoples has been... exaggerated... over the course of the long years. In these dark times we should not focus on the distant past, but should instead strengthen the bonds of friendship, for we will have need of them against the Enemy.
'In a similar fashion I fear my bold words following the Council at which the great threat was exposed may have upset some of my fellows: the Elves Galdor and Erestor. I would not have them nurse resentment of my words overlong! They argued in favour of the westward passage; though I did not blame them for it, I spoke with some heat against that course.
'If you bring them word of my regret, perhaps they will forgive my brashness -- the errand of the company is urgent, but I was wrong to speak so harshly of its opposition. Speak with Erestor at the Haven of Orladion, north-west of the House of Elrond. If you, a dwarf, bring word of my regret, Erestor's eyes may be newly opened to the need for cooperation among all peoples. Ask Erestor if he knows where Galdor may be found, for he too deserves my apology.'
Erestor is at the Haven of Orladion, north-west of the House of Elrond.
Legolas is concerned that strong words following the Council of Elrond may have caused Erestor to resent him, and he wants you to apologize on his behalf.
Galdor of the Havens is at the stables in the north-west corner of Rivendell.
You have brought word of Legolas's apology to Erestor and should now do the same for Galdor.
Legolas is in one of the guest rooms of Elrond's House.
Galdor has given you a white knife to give to Legolas as a token of his forgiveness.
